Volunteer Drivers
~ In a rural community, transportation is a major factor in the lives of those without access to a vehicle. We provide volunteer transportation to people in need of assistance in getting to medical and other necessary appointments. We are looking for volunteer drivers from all areas of North and Centre Wellington to help meet this need. Volunteers can select their travel area (to Guelph only, willing to go as far as Kitchener or Hamilton etc.) and
rides are coordinated based on the availability of the
volunteer. Mileage costs are reimbursed on a per
kilometre rate. If you have available time during
daytime hours, a vehicle in good condition, a clean
driving record and a willingness to support those in
your community, this may be the job for you!
All volunteer placements are designed to work within the availability of the volunteer, achieving the best match between the program needs the schedule of the volunteer. All the time volunteers have to give is sincerely valued and truly appreciated. We do our best to facilitate a rewarding experience for every volunteer position.

Reception
This volunteer position plays a vital role at the Community
Resource Centre. Our volunteer receptionist is the first
person visitors come into contact with. Their role is to make
the visitor feel at ease, determine who of our staff can best
meet the needs of the visitor and direct them appropriately.
While this may seem simple, it is vital to helping staff get the
assistance required delivered as efficiently as possible.
Visitors contact reception via telephone and in person. Other
tasks can be taken on as the volunteer feels comfortable.
Come out and offer your support to the Community Resource Centre.
